Design concept for a restorative 5-star hotel and spa.

This unique design balances a clean, almost futuristic design with natural tones and shapes synonymous with deep relaxation and ancient wellness principles. Organic curved lines and concealed lighting were central to the soft and comfortable design. Each detail was carefully chosen to work holistically, creating visual and acoustic quietness for a deeply nourishing, peaceful experience at the hotel.

We created the ultimate restorative experience within the bedrooms, with wellness at their core. The circular design, curves, neutral palette and textural layers create a sense of floating in another time, with an interior designed for deep rest.

The guestrooms feature soft lines, textured timber, sound absorbing wall panelling and built-in wardrobes in natural tones to allow air, light and energy to flow through the rooms seamlessly. The luxurious bathrooms mimic the flowing lines and light in the guest rooms for continual chi between the rooms.

The hotel’s treatment room encourages the mind and body to float in the clouds for pure, whole-body relaxation. This enhances the work of the practitioner by using the ambience and effects of the surrounding environment for maximum impact from treatments. Similarly, the yoga room encompasses soft timbers and sound absorbing curtains for a cocoon-like effect that helps the body and mind to clear intrusive thoughts and ailments. It is designed to promote clarity, relaxation and meditation.
